EcoGeek – Smart Meters: A Review <http://www.ecogeek.org/content/view/160/1/>
I always want to have such kind of meter to meter the home energy usage. It frustrates me so much that I find it difficult or even impossible to find out the actual power consumption of electric appliances. I think manufactures have the responsibility to imprint the data on the product brochure, as well as manual for consumers’ reference.

Many people feel the same way – the energy industry is still shrowded in mystery as to their pricing methods despite decades of ‘progressive’ government policies and privatisation in the UK (and soon cross-EU). I’ll be posting a DIY electricity meter schematic on my website in the near future so check back if you are handy with a soldering iron!

Thank you, Dave. I’m looking forward to your DIY meter because I can’t find the distributer and retailer of electrisave (centameter) in my location – Hong Kong.
