不得不佩服年逾 75 的「股神」畢菲特仍能明智地作出這驚人善舉。尤其是他確確實實地做到他廿年前所說一句話︰ “a very rich person should leave his kids enough to do anything but not enough to do nothing.”。實在是太值得受人尊敬了。

希望他此番舉動能帶起富豪的善行，妥善運用自己的財產，並注意金錢對子女的影響。

blog (狗) 介紹了一本書 — “Animals in Translation : Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior” by Temple Grandin and Catherine Johnson。只是第一章的 “Inattentional blindness” (不注意視盲) 就已經很吸引了。以後談及動物的行為應該很有趣吧…

好﹗終於提到 OSS (Open Source Software) 在圖書館的運用。其實經費緊拙的圖書館真的要考慮使用 OSS，以求達到運用經費的最大效益。

以 Linux 為核心的 Ubuntu 我用過，一月份也引了兩位用家「Madthiu’s PALACE – 免費送到你家的免費作業系統」< http://blog.madthiu.net/archives/2005/12/15/free-os-delivery-for-free/>和「龜趣來嘻 – 到ubuntu一遊」 <http://www.bigsound.org/portnoy/weblog/001321.html> 的文章作粗略的介紹。綜觀有一大問題，就是它對中文的支援不足。若要處理中文書籍，可能會比較麻煩。希望年尾出的新版會有改善。  (更正︰請看 Madthiu 兄的留言。)
